Spicy Grapefruit Mule

FRESHLY-SQUEEZED GRAPEFRUIT JUICE AND A DASH OF SRIRACHA ADD A FLAVOR PUNCH TO THE TRADITIONAL MULE. YOU CAN ALSO TRY OTHER HOT SAUCES TO SWITCH THE HEAT UP. FOR A MILDER MULE, JUST DELETE THE HEAT.

Ingredients

  • 12 cups vodka
  • 4 tsp. Sriracha hot sauce (add more if you like it spicy)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 12 cups freshly-squeezed Sunkist® grapefruit juice
  • 2 cups freshly-squeezed Sunkist® lime juice
  • 16 cups ginger beer, chilled
  • 4 thin sliced baby bell peppers, candied ginger, Sunkist® lime wheels for garnish

PREPARATION: 15 minutes

Directions

  1. Combine the vodka, hot sauce, and sugar in a large pitcher. Whisk well until the sugar is dissolved. Add the grapefruit and lime juices. Stir to combine. (At this point you can refrigerate the mule mix for service up to 3 days in advance).
  2. When ready to serve add the ginger beer. Serve over ice and garnish with sliced baby bell peppers, candied ginger, and lime wheels.
